Hannah Klugman Becomes World No.1 Junior Tennis Player

Hannah Klugman, a 16-year-old tennis player from Britain, has reached the No.1 spot in the world junior tennis rankings. This is a huge achievement and marks the end of her junior tennis career as she begins to move into professional tennis.

Hannah earned this top ranking after an excellent year in 2025. She finished second at the French Open (Roland Garros), reached the semi-finals at the US Open, and made it to the quarter-finals at Wimbledon. In May, she also made history by becoming the first British player in 49 years to reach the junior singles final at Roland Garros.

Her success started at a young age. When she was only 14, Hannah won the famous Orange Bowl tennis tournament in 2023, becoming the first British player ever to do so. Since then, she has won six junior singles titles, including her most recent win at a tournament in Vrsar last year. She also finished fourth at the 2025 Junior World Finals.

Hannah has also been very strong in doubles matches, where two players compete on each side. She reached the final of the Wimbledon girls’ doubles in 2023 and the Australian Open girls’ doubles in 2025. She has also played well in other major tournaments, reaching semi-finals and quarter-finals around the world.

Now, Hannah is beginning her journey into professional tennis. She receives special support through a top sports program in Britain and has already reached her first professional final. One of her biggest moments came when she played in the main Wimbledon tournament for the first time, facing a former US Open finalist. Her future in tennis looks very bright.
