The Story of Pokémon
Pokémon is a world full of strange and wonderful creatures called Pokémon. People called Trainers catch and train Pokémon to battle each other. The first Pokémon games were created in Japan in 1996, and the world quickly became famous worldwide.
Trainers must keep up with their Pokémon’s growth and training. If they keep it up, they can become very strong. Pokémon are mysterious creatures, so some Trainers keep back from touching them until they are sure the Pokémon is friendly.
Many Pokémon like to hide in forests or caves, so Trainers must keep out of dangerous areas if they are not prepared. To be the very best, Trainers must keep ahead of other Trainers by learning new strategies and discovering new Pokémon.
Some Pokémon are shy and will keep from showing their powers until they feel safe. Trainers who are patient keep on training their Pokémon, even if it is difficult at first. They also keep down fights between Pokémon to prevent injuries.
From games and TV shows to cards and movies,
Pokémon has grown into a huge adventure that teaches teamwork, courage, and friendship.
