Taylor Fritz and Elena Rybakina won the Eisenhower Cup for the second year in a row at Indian Wells. The exciting mixed doubles event took place the night before the main tournament began at the BNP Paribas Open.

The Eisenhower Cup uses a fast and unusual format called Tie Break Tens. Instead of full sets, players compete in short tie-break matches. The first team to reach 10 points wins. This makes every point very important and keeps the matches exciting.

Fritz and Rybakina worked very well together. After winning the title again, they took home $200,000. Rybakina said she was very happy and hoped to do just as well in the singles tournament. Fritz joked that Rybakina’s strong serve made the match easier for him.

Famous Players Join the Fun

Sixteen players competed in the event, forming mixed doubles teams. One popular team was Casper Ruud and Iga Swiatek. They even wore special AI-powered glasses with cameras so fans could see the match from their point of view.

Top American players also joined. Tommy Paul partnered with Jessica Pegula. Pegula showed her competitive spirit when she argued about a possible rule violation during one point, but the officials did not agree with her.

There were also last-minute changes to the teams. Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev were supposed to play but had travel problems and could not attend. As a result, Alexander Bublik teamed up with Mirra Andreeva, while Learner Tien partnered with Amanda Anisimova.

The Final Match

In the final, Fritz and Rybakina defeated Tien and Anisimova 10–7. It was a close and exciting match, but the defending champions stayed calm and finished strong.

All money raised from the Eisenhower Cup goes to local charities, making the event both fun and meaningful.
