Github for Electrical Engineers

While the world is full of collaboration tools for software developers — from Slack and Google Docs to GitHub — AllSpice.io has burst out with a platform aimed squarely at electrical hardware engineers.
Instead of trying to replace existing tools, AllSpice sits between them, helping teams work on documents like PCB and electronic CAD files that often get shut out of fast-moving chats. Much like a performer who can belt out a song without letting the band drown out the lyrics, the platform lets engineers focus on specific design details, similar to how coders comment on individual lines in GitHub.
Co-founder and CTO Kyle Dumont said their success didn’t just suddenly go up — it came from listening to what teams needed and avoiding features that would grate on their existing workflows or cause needless distractions. They learned to listen out for both direct feedback and the unspoken needs so they could keep the noise down and prioritize essentials.
CEO Valentina Ratner recalled her time at Amazon, where key design details would be pealed out like bells and then quickly die down in email chains. By the end, she was creating an internal tool to shut out inefficiencies entirely.
After meeting in grad school, she and Dumont launched AllSpice in 2022, first for small teams, then expanding as enterprise interest began to go up, attracting clients like Blue Origin, Bose, and Tools for Humanity.
With $15 million in new funding, AllSpice plans to blast out new features, including an AI agent to validate designs before costly mistakes drown out production schedules. The rollout will begin in closed beta to keep the noise down and fine-tune performance.
Ratner summed it up: “We can’t just belt out a product before it’s ready — it has to match the industry’s rhythm without slowing partners down.”
